I spoke to Charles J. Candrilli on September 19, 2008 at legendary high school football coach Mike Miello’s first football game coaching Hackensack (which was played at Paramus), since leaving Hackensack in the early 1970’s. 

Charles Candrilli gave me information on himself and his brother,
Julius Candrilli, who was a close friend of
Tommy Trobiano growing up in Hackensack.

Charles Joseph Candrilli graduated from
Hackensack High School in 1950 and went on to serve in the First Marine Division 6th Regiment during the Korean War.
